I have been having a pathetic amount of issues since upgrading my Wordpress installation. The most recent is the issue between the new theme I’m working on and the version of WP I have. First off, my site was not displaying at all, then it was but then my admin panel was not. I had to take out the theme and revert back to the Retro Circles one until I figure out what is going on.I’m also getting the “you are trying to edit a post that does not exist” error when making new entries. Its very, VERY frustrating!

I also have found that my blog has been completely buggy since my host had taken down everything instead of just a temporary suspension. I think the only real way to completely fix it is to completely reinstall my Wordpress rather than use the backup I had to fix it.

I also had an issue with my computer yesterday. I had logged into Facebook and I suddenly had a Windows XP blue screen telling me there was an issue with my AVG. I tried restarting and my computer and it wouldn’t even boot up to the bios, it just sat there barely humming. I checked the hard drive with my old HP and that was fine so I really started to worry about my motherboard. I decided to take out the RAM that my friend had given me a couple of months ago and now my computer is completely fine. Its a real possibility that the RAM could be dead but its weird that the computer didn’t make any beeping noises. I have a Dell Dimension 2350 and I completely forgot to check the 4 diagnostic lights at the back that would have helped me out. I could put the RAM back in and see what happens but I’m much too tired to bother.

I had an amazing time at the Mindless Self Indulgence show I went to on the 28th and I have a TON of amazing photos. I will post them later. These errors have annoyed me so much, I’m getting off this computer and doing something else!

As you can see, I’m in the midst of transforming my site with a new layout. Its still in its early stages. I still have to figure out what I am going to put in that oddly coloured empty space I have in my header.

I also want to figure out how to put in my gallery’s latest images as well which I think would be a nice feature to offset all the text. Right now I have a Coppermine gallery going and I’m trying to decide whether I would like to keep it that way, or add a Wordpress gallery plugin.

I also widgetized the sidebar which has made me a very happy blogger except I wanted to have the dynamic sidebar so I’m left with a choice. The widgets is a LOT easier… yet the dynamic changing sidebar is a lot more fun.

I also have much more to blog about except I’ve been working long hours this week and am extremely tired. I shall update you all later on how awesome my birthday party was.

P.S - I am also quite annoyed with the alignment of the text in my posts. WTF is going on!!!

You may notice whilst browsing the site that my sidebar looks a bit retarded. I thought I would let you all know that I’m in the process of fiddling around with WP’s Dynamic Sidebar capabilities and its a heck of a lot of fun! I’m really excited about the new changes and a big kudos to Melissa from Guitar Angel.net for writing an awesome tutorial!

You will now notice already when you comment that you are able to preview the smilies thanks to the Custom Smilies plugin and I’ve started to take advantage of the tags option and now have a nice tag cloud going.

Also in the works is a new layout that I promise I will actually do this time, because I have been saying it for a while now and a complete overhaul of all the main category pages. I will also be adding some new pages and taking out a few things that aren’t all that important. It’s been a long time since I did anything new with this site and for me, it has become somewhat boring. Its needs some new life!

I’ve also been doing a bit of an overhaul in my personal life and things are going quite well. I turned 24 on June 8th and I feel great. My party is on the 21st and I’m quite excited as I have about 25 friends to party with. We’re going to a nice English pub for dinner and drinks before heading off to a club for dancing. I’m giving myself a bit of a much needed makeover by the way of new haircolour, haircut and a nice new outfit. It’s been a long time since I did that. I’ve also gotten student loans and payments going for college in September too which feels awesome. I can’t wait!
